Red Lodge Montana
Located in the quiet region of Carbon County, Montana, is the small city of Red Lodge. As the county seat, this peaceful community is proud of its colorful American history dating back to the 19th century. Red Lodge was popular for having one of the largest deposits of coal in the nation. Unfortunately, the Great Depression forced most of the coal mines to close and the resilient community focused on the manufacturing of the liquor, syrup. Red Lodge is a part of the Billings Montana Metropolitan area. Roscoe and Roberts are two of the towns closest to Red Lodge and Red Lodge real estate.
With the construction of the Beartooth Highway, Red Lodge became the gateway to one of the nation’s most beautiful places, the Yellowstone National Park. The previously sluggish economy was given a terrific boost from the city’s tourism industry.
